For the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Cleaning & Maintenance Launch, we released two key accessories for the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine:

• The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Air Blaster Accessory

• The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Vacuum Accessory

While each of these accessories has different functions, both of them allow for better chip management. In CNC machining chip removal and management help with a number of things, such as iteration cycles (faster machining times), prolonging tool life, maintaining the machine’s optimal performance, and surface finish.

This launch was a big milestone for me, personally. Shortly before launching these accessories, I added a junior content writer to my editorial team. For this launch, I guided the new content writer through the writing process for creating technical documentation, our brand’s voice and tone, and more. It was exciting to be able to pass on my knowledge and empower this new member of my team to take on writing the technical documentation and the announcement blog post for this launch.

 Responsibilities

• Copyediting: I collaborated with the editorial lead on the vacuum and air blaster accessories. I guided the junior content writer during their drafting process and edited their work to ensure it was inline with the Bantam Tools tone and voice.

• Product Copywriting: Based on branding discussions, I wrote the copy for all products and bundles released during the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Launch. Here are some examples:

  • Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Air Blaster Accessory

  • Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Rapid Prototyping Bundle

• FAQ Messaging: As with all product launches, I created an FAQ complete with anticipated questions and answers. The goal of this document is to help our team stay on brand when speaking with current and prospective customers. It also gives us a place to track common questions and identify content we may need to make to provide more clarity and/or proof.

• Website Copy & Design: Based on branding discussions, I wrote copy for our website and designed new pages to tell the story of these products and provide information about them.
